Step 1: Select the TEXT tab on your editing toolbox

Step 2: Select the TAB of the text you want to add an effect to

Step 3: Choose an effect from the drop down list

Step 4: Click anywhere on the (grey) artboard to refresh the banner (or click the refresh button)
